Editorial Policy
This page explains, in detail, how content on BK8 Malaysia gets researched, written, fact-checked, disclosed and kept up to date.
Our editorial principles
- Accuracy over promotion. We describe mechanics, terms and risks the same way regardless of any commercial relationship.
- Plain language. Jargon is explained the first time it appears, with worked examples wherever numbers are involved.
- Sourced claims. Statements about licensing, testing or regulation reference the relevant authority directly rather than a secondary summary.
- Player safety first. Every category links back to our Responsible Gaming hub; nothing is written to encourage spending beyond what a reader can afford.
How a review is scored
Review-style articles (see our Casino Reviews category) are assessed against five fixed criteria: licensing transparency, game variety and provider mix, payment method coverage and processing speed, mobile experience quality, and customer support responsiveness. These criteria don't change based on who is reviewed.
Fact-checking and subject-matter review
Most guides are written and fact-checked by our lead content analyst. Content in our Responsible Gaming category and any article touching player-safety topics receives an additional review pass from a dedicated reviewer with a community mental-health support background, credited on the article itself. Corrections policy
When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the update date on the article. Material corrections (anything that changes the substance of advice given) are noted transparently rather than silently edited.
Advertising and affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site may be commercial in nature. Any such relationship does not influence how we describe mechanics, risks or terms — our review criteria and explanatory content are written to the same standard regardless of commercial arrangements. This is a placeholder disclosure; update it with your site's specific commercial relationships before launch.
Update cadence
Cornerstone guides are reviewed at least annually or whenever the underlying game mechanic, payment rail or regulation changes materially. Review-style articles are revisited whenever the reviewed platform changes its games, payments or terms in a way that would affect the score.
